Ed Davey MP will take your questions on Twitter and online

Here's your chance to put questions to Ed Davey, the minister in charge of the UK's energy policies.

He's announced that he'll run an hour-long Q&A session tomorrow, on Twitter and on the Guardian website, to coincide with World Energy Day.

With coal burning the largest source of electricity generation in the UK over the last few years, we'd like to know more about Davey’s plans to get the UK off this climate-wrecking fuel -- particularly as on one hand the Lib Dems have pledged to ban coal emissions by 2025, and on the other the government is offering cash to keep old plants open right in to the 2030s.

We've put together a few questions below. Click the button to tweet each one -- or you can ask your own using #bigenergydebate, or chip in with a question here.

Hi @EdwardDaveyMP. How can Lib Dems pledge to ban coal then offer £ to keep power stations open - threatening climate targets? #bigenergydebate

.@EdwardDaveyMP LibDems pledged to ban coal in 11 years, so why are u offering £millions to keep plants open to 2030s? #bigenergydebate
